Hi there! I'm Maya. I have been a real estate agent here in the United
States since 2008. Prior to that, I sold properties in Moscow for five years
(a tough market, I can tell you). English is my third language. I speak
Kumykian and Russian as well. A little about myself: I was born in one of
the southernmost Caucuses of Russia, the Republic of Dougestan. At age
twelve, my mother informed me of my arranged marriage to someone I had never
met, and then promptly sent me off to a culinary school. As she explained
it, cooking was the most important job to which I would ever aspire. I would
have none of it, and by age seventeen left home. I went to live with
relatives in Moscow, and there enthusiastically embraced modern culture.
Buoyed by success and a sense of freedom I had never known, I aspired to go
even further. I immigrated to the United States in late 2002, and haven't
looked back since. I'm a very forthright person - some might even say
straight to the point. I however, consider this a virtue rather than a
fault, and find a great many clients appreciate it as well (as one put it, a
breath of fresh air). Simply put, my job is to help you and anything less
than complete candor between us will not do. This is who I am. This is my
pledge to you. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe once said, "His is the happiest,
be he king or peasant, who finds peace in his home." I wish you peace in
yours, and look forward to meeting you.
